About Me

Welcome to the Carolina Farmhouse!

I am a 31 year old wife and mother, who is way too sassy to be Betty Crocker but I’m trying my darndest to be domesticated and demure. Just kidding, I gave up on that a long time ago. I brake for squirrels, old houses and Mexican restaurants. I also love fresh flowers.

I love being a homemaker in our 1890’s farmhouse in the upstate of South Carolina. I am a trophy wife to Chris (KIDDING) and we have been married for 8 years. We have four beautiful children. Three Irish triplets…all born 12 months apart in the month of April and our little caboose, Hollis who was also born in April…just 5 years after her older siblings. That’s also why I have gray hairs and fine lines.

Between feeding and homeschooling our children, wrangling our brood of chickens, our crazy dog, and our ungodly amount of cats, I try to find time to work on home projects. Transforming spaces gives me a high and I’m a sucker for a good before and after.

I also am so in love with Jesus. Speaking of a good before and after…the work He has done in my heart is nothing short of amazing. So you will hear about the things He is teaching me and my heart for this hurting world here too.

I’m so glad you’ve come to my little corner of the internet! I truly do love the friends you meet through the world wide web. I will be honest and say I’m much better at responding and being more personal on Instagram, so feel free to give me a follow there and say hello! You can also follow me on YouTube for two videos weekly from our little farmhouse!

  1. Hey! Just came across your blog and love it! I’m also a housewife, living in an old farmhouse in the Midwest. I am originally from NC so I can relate to missing that Southern charm! My blog is itsybitsyellen.com 🙂

  2. I’ve been following “Pray for Courtney and Baby Eli” on Facebook since early 2015. When I found the FB page, thanks to a friend requesting prayer for you both, I had just found out I was pregnant with my sweet rainbow baby & prayerfully followed your journey. I just realized you also had a blog & I love it! I too am a southern girl–born, bred & still living in Tennessee–& I love meeting other southern bloggers with shared interests. My faith in Jesus, my little family, and creating a peaceful home for the ones I love are the most important things to me. So happy to connect with you! 🙂
